Alright, so today was the awards ceremony for the Scholastic Art and Writing awards. I personally got an honorable mention and a gold key (yay!) and afterwards we went to the Arnott Art Museum to see all the pieces in person (and everything else on display). Anyway, there were cookies, and lemonade, and plenty of conversation and art. And then I think a small child got themselves banned from the museum for pushing a statue down a flight of stairs (not kidding, we found a small fish at the bottom of the stairs that we recognized from the statue that was at the top of the stairs). So, yeah. That happened.
After the museum, I worked on more logos for fictional companies. Specifically I worked on the logo for Seraph Corporation, a large conglomerate that produces anything from military equipment to medical supplies to maintaining the future's version of the internet. They provide aid to anyone who needs it in the case of war, disease, or natural disaster. They genuinely care about other people instead of the bottom line. Anyway, enough context, making the logo itself I considered that context (also considered when I named them Seraph Corp. [Seraph=Angel] so yeah) and decided to play off the name (but who wouldn't?). So I made a wing and worked from that. After that, I took "Seraph" and skewed it (read: made it slanty) after I added the line thing to the "H" to balance out with the wing I planned on adding to the "S." I did the thing, made it slanty, then added my wing (with a few adjustments). Then I showed it off to a couple of people, and on their advice added some colors. I added lots of colors at different times. I started with the loot rarity color codes of a game I play; white–green–blue–purple–orange. Then I diversified, with pale blue, pale green, and pale purple (I avoided the warm colors because when I add the pale ones, they're kinda gross looking). Finally, I'm stuck between the legendary item orange, and pale baby blue. They're both viable colors for Seraph Corp.'s logo.
Then I've got a few work in progress photos for the logo down here. Enjoy!
